Working with Nomadic VR, we had to approach the sound from the ground up; we needed to ascertain what sounds were necessary and what sounds would be most impactful for the experience? This led us to original, spatialized sound design and implementation using Wwise in UE4
Pyramind Creates Audio for Vi: The Bio Sensing Headphones paired with an Artificial Intelligence Personal Trainer. Over the past year, Pyramind has been working with LifeBeam to create the voice of their new virtual personal trainer Vi. We record and edit all of Vi’s dialogue including in-app speech and voiceover. We also did all of the user interface sound design work.
For Cat Sorter VR we wanted to get a bit silly. We decided to use an instrument palette that included Toy Piano, Accordion, Kazoo, and of course cat meows. We wrote fast paced, upbeat music to go with the wacky nature of the gameplay. The sound design was similarly cartoon-y and animated. The sounds are also all spatialized to give you a greater sense of presence in the game.
Smurfs Bubble Story: Pyramind worked with the game team at Tic Toc, and with the director of the Smurfs movie to create a soundtrack that complemented both the movie and the game for Sony.
Ubisoft Montreal, led by Audio Director Olivier Girard, selected Pyramind Studios as their home base to record voice-over pipeline for the critically acclaimed Watch Dogs 2.
Arcade Saga is HTC’s first internal VR title developed by 2 Bears Studios. Pyramind's team of composers created a mix of 8 bit arcade style music for the game.
