Working with Nomadic VR, we had to approach the sound from the ground up; we needed to ascertain what sounds were necessary and what sounds would be most impactful for the experience? This led us to original, spatialized sound design and implementation using Wwise in UE4
Pyramind Creates Audio for Vi: The Bio Sensing Headphones paired with an Artificial Intelligence Personal Trainer. Over the past year, Pyramind has been working with LifeBeam to create the voice of their new virtual personal trainer Vi. We record and edit all of Vi’s dialogue including in-app speech and voiceover. We also did all of the user interface sound design work.
For Cat Sorter VR we wanted to get a bit silly. We decided to use an instrument palette that included Toy Piano, Accordion, Kazoo, and of course cat meows. We wrote fast paced, upbeat music to go with the wacky nature of the gameplay. The sound design was similarly cartoon-y and animated. The sounds are also all spatialized to give you a greater sense of presence in the game.
Smurfs Bubble Story: Pyramind worked with the game team at Tic Toc, and with the director of the Smurfs movie to create a soundtrack that complemented both the movie and the game for Sony.

Pyramind Studios provided audio direction for Zynga’s recent hit, Looney Tunes Dash, including an original musical score, sound design and voiceover production. In June 2014, Pyramind was presented with a challenge by members of the audio team at Zynga to create a driving cartoony musical soundtrack for its upcoming title, Looney Tunes Dash™ that pays homage to the classic Merry Melodies scores by composer Carl Stalling.
Pyramind Studios recently partnered with Double Fine Productions and composer Peter McConnell to re-orchestrate 45 minutes of McConnell’s original score to Grim Fandango, the LucasArts 1998 hit game. The goal was to update the music to modern quality standards to exist alongside the portion of the score Peter newly recorded with the Melbourne Symphony in Australia, as well as the jazz portions Peter enhanced with the music team at Sony PlayStation. In addition to re-orchestrating music, the Pyramind team also remixed 45 minutes of cinematics, optimizing the mix, sound effects, and dialog in six different languages. To top it off, Pyramind used its spacious Studio A to record commentary by the original LucasArts team members for inclusion in the remastered edition.
